Some Obscure Finds
I did some digging for interesting turn of the century (and a little after) artists and came up with a few nice tidbits to share. The Blashfield Angel with The Flaming Sword is a little reminiscient of VonStuck's painting with the same theme. I have been looking for more Elihu Vedder works for a while and one of them was among my finds...

Head of a Young Woman, Elihu Vedder, 1900

The Angel with The Flaming Sword, Edwin Howland Blashfield, 1893

King Lear: Cordelia's Farewell, Austin Edwin Abbey

Paris Nude, Rolf Armstrong, 1919-1921

I've had a mystery print of what turned out to be AE Abbey's "Cordelia's Farewell" for 20 years - and here it is! This print set me on a course of studying [and collecting a library on] the Pre-Raphaelites, Arthurian and Celtic symbolism and finally depictions of Lear. I found it on the artrenewal.org website and was referred here. Thanks so much for the image! Keep up the good work.
